In north central Laos, the city of Luang Prabang was where I started to think about portrait and street photography. Sai Bat (morning alms) is a longstanding tradition in Laos Buddhist culture. Attending, observing and photographing this silent ritual opened my eyes to the possibilities of capturing images of people and places.
