I tend to gravitate towards a motion blur technique when I see this type of image unfold in front of me. With one leading up, the other going down, these two intertwined spiral staircases are known as the Bramante Staircase which is located in the Vatican Museums. Officially, the Vatican City is an independent city state enclaved within Rome, Italy.
